"Inspector Gadget is always on duty!"
Abdul is one of Dr. Claw's agents in Inspector Gadget.
Routine[]
Abdul is a M.A.D. agent who appears in various disguises on several missions.
Personality[]
History[]
Together with Jarvis, Dick, Squirt and Pops, Abdul posed as a member of Amazon Annie's tribe while stationed in the Amazon jungle. As such, he wore only a grass skirt and sandals and had a small bone decorating his nose. After Inspector Gadget accepted Annie's invitation to attend the tribe's Amazon sacrificial ritual, Abdul and Dick worked together to turn a large stone wheel attached to a chain. This contraption slowly pulled Gadget, seated on a stone throne, into a fire pit. The two men were scared off by a brown gorilla (actually Brain in disguise) but soon resumed their efforts. However, Dr. Claw himself ordered Amazon Annie to stop the liquidation as he had need of Gadget at his Aztec Temple hideout. Disappointed, the entire M.A.D. tribe was left behind in the jungle.[1]
Abdul replaced a naval crewmember on a cruise ship taken over by M.A.D. Agents. He first reported back to Dr. Claw by video together with Dick as they were putting on the officer's clothes. Later, when the ship was at sea, he, Dick and Squirt reported to Claw in person, but at this time Abdul had changed into a black M.A.D. uniform.[2]
Abdul disguised himself as an Indian peasant and prepared a spring loaded bed of nails to trap Inspector Gadget. But Brain was stuck in a large rolling drum and collided with Abdul, causing him to fall onto the bed of nails and be flung into the wall. He ended up on the other side. A short while later, Brain crashed onto Abdul together with the drum and a collection of glue bombs that had been prepared by another M.A.D. Agent, Pops. Brain and Abdul were stuck in the glue when Inspector Gadget passed them and sayd hi.[3]
Abdul posed as a camera operator on the set of a motion picture set. In reality, he was filming footage of a nearby top-secret military instalation.[4]
