Dick is one of Dr. Claw's agents in Inspector Gadget.

Dick is a M.A.D. agent who appears in various disguises on several missions.

Dick is a thin man with dusty blonde hair and eyebrows, a pointy chin and a long beak shaped nose.

Season 1[]

Together with Fred, Dick posed as a farm hand on a farm just outside Metro City which had been taken over by Dr. Claw. The large silo next to the farm housed a stolen missile that Claw intended to launch at Metro City. When Inspector Gadget arrived, Fred and Dick tried to smother the Inspector by covering him in sheep as he lay on couch to take a nap. Later, they thought Gadget had realized they were M.A.D. Agents and tried to run away from him while in reality all Gadget wanted from them was some gas for his Gadgetmobile. After climbing up the silo, Fred got stuck in the door at the top of the silo, but Dick pushed him through. Dick and Fred informed Dr. Claw that enemy agents (three police cars) had arrived on the scene, and were ordered to keep them out. While Dr. Claw continued the countdown to launch the warhead, Dick and Fred said they would try to keep the police out, but were unable to stop the police from entering the silo.[1]

Together with Jarvis, Abdul, Squirt and Pops, Dick posed as a member of Amazon Annie's tribe while stationed in the Amazon jungle. As such, he wore only a grass skirt and sandals and had a small bone decorating his nose. After Inspector Gadget accepted Annie's invitation to attend the tribe's Amazon sacrificial ritual, Dick and Abdul worked together to turn a large stone wheel attached to a chain. This contraption slowly pulled Gadget, seated on a stone throne, into a fire pit. The two men were scared off by a brown gorilla (actually Brain in disguise) but soon resumed their efforts. However, Dr. Claw himself ordered Amazon Annie to stop the liquidation as he had need of Gadget at his Aztec Temple hideout. Disappointed, the entire M.A.D. tribe was left behind in the jungle.[2]

Posing as a gardner at the Bide-A-Wee Health Spa, Dick noticed a young girl with pigtails hiding in the bushes and grabbed her. He took her to Madame's office, where Dr. Claw (via video phone) ordered to lock the girl in the basement. After Madame presented Gadget with a cake filled with dynamite prepared by M.A.D. Agent Jarvis, Dick tried to run away from the building together with Madame and Jarvis before the cake exploded. But thanks to Brain and Penny's intervention, the cake fell out of a window, causing a large explosion outside. The three M.A.D. agents ended up in a smoking crater and were arrested by Chief Quimby and several police officers.[3]

Dick replaced a naval crewmember on a cruise ship taken over by M.A.D. Agents. He also posed as a waiter during a party on board the ship. Penny spoted him exiting a secret door hidden in a potted plant. Later, Dick reported to Dr. Claw in person, together with Squirt and Abdul. This time he wore a stolen sailor's uniform.[4]

Dick posed as a vampire, complete with phony Transylvanian accent when Claw first took residence at Dracula's Castle. He disposed of a border guard and put on part of his uniform to greet Inspector Gadget. Dick was dismayed when the actual border guard escaped from his shack, but Gadget thought it was all an act being performed for tourists. The next time Claw contacted Dick, he was resting in a coffin. Despite of this, he admited to be scared of the noises he had been hearing all morning in the castle. He was ordered to set the plan in motion. When Inspector Gadget, his niece and their dog began to explore the castle, Dick's scary laughter could be heard throughout the halls. Later, the Inpsector was lured up a tower where Dick was waiting with a large catapult in order to shoot the Inspector off of the tower. However, Brain interferred by accident, and Dick was catapulted off the tower instead. He ended up in the shallow moat around the castle but soon reported back to Claw. Soon, the police arrived on the scene and arrested all the M.A.D. Agents on the scene and took them into custody.[5]

Dick and Fred dressed as moving men, albeit with M.A.D. logos on their caps and uniforms, and positions their moving van outside the New York Museum of Modern Art. Dick then contacted Dr. Claw on a car phone and told him they were awaiting further orders. After closing time, they began switching the art treasures for fakes (some of which were inflatable versions) and load the real stuff into their van. The two of them caught a little spy and put her inside a sculpture resembling a large eyeball for safekeeping. When Inspector Gadget happened upon them, Dick told the Inspector that he and Fred were secret police, and that they were replacing the real artwork with fakes so the collection would remain safe. Convinced they were colleagues, Gadget offered to help them. Dick reported back to Claw, who told him to give Gadget a Glow Ball, that would get so hot it would burn him to a cinder. Dick told Gadget to put the ball back in the museum, but Brain, disguised as modern art, took it away from the Inspector. Claw then ordered his agents to cut the elevator cables, which Dick did. He assumed Gadget had had an accident, and both agents proceeded in their moving van to their rendezvous point with Dr. Claw at the Statue of Liberty. When Dick spotted the Gadgetmobile following them, he told Fred to use the oil slick to stop his pursuit. However, Gadget, intend to bring another pice of art to his "colleagues", caught up to them by Gadget 'Copter at the statue and dropped on top of them, knocking both Fred and Dick out. Chief Quimby arrived in a helicopter moments later and arrested Fred and Dick.[6]

Dick was one of various Agents who dressed up as Martians as a hoax to rob valuables all over Metro City. When Penny caused the M.A.D. spaceship to crashland in front of the Metro City police station, Dick ran out and gave himself up to the police after being scared by a "real" Martian (Inspector Gadget after bumping into some Martian costumes and some cans of paint).[7]

Dick teamed with Squirt, both disguised as ancient Egyptians, as they stole ancient artifacts from Pharaoh Poot-Ta-Toot's tomb. While carrying a sarcofagus, Squirt compained that he got the heavier end. But Dick reminded him that they flipped for it and that he had gotten heads. While taking a break, they were scared by a the sudden appearance of a mummy, only to realize it was their fellow agent Fred. Still, Fred told them he had seen an actual mummy and the three of them decided to get out of there as quickly as possible. Dick and Fred trapped inspector Gadget between two sliding walls and were about to lower a large weight down on him, when they were scared off by a small canine mummy and ran off. The canine mummy proceeded to free Gadget from the trap. Dick and Fred returned to fetch the sarcofagus, unaware that Inspector Gadget was now hiding inside. Together with Squirt, who had just had a run in of his own with the canine mummy, they began to carry the sarcofagus out, but put it down when a disembodied voice, apparently of Poot-Ta-Toot himself, began to scold them and told them they were cursed. When the lid of the sarcofagus started to move, all three agents ran straight for the pyramid's exit, where they were arrested by Chief Quimby's men. [8]

Dick posed as a Hotel Receptionist on one of the Boha Boha islands. He asked Gadget to sign in at his desk. When Gadget picked up a fake seashell, curious to hear the sound of the ocean, Dick opened a valve to release sleeping gas from the shell. But Gadget pushed the shell in Dick's face, asking him if he could hear anything. The gas knocked Dick out instantly and he collapsted behind the desk, snoring loudly. Later, Dick was stationed on Dr. Claw's fake Island base together with fellow agents Dick and Pops. The entire set-up was a front to create large doses of a powerful sleeping gas. When Gadget dropped in on the island, Fred was ordered to cover the entire area to prevent Gadget's escape. The M.A.D. Agents used large leaves from the local fauna to protect their mouths and noses from inhaling the gas themselves.[9]

Stationed at the Greenfinger Institute, Dick helped Bruce to load the Greenfinger Growth formula onto the M.A.D. Blimp. When Gadget grabbed onto a cable hanging from the blimp, fearing they had forotton one of the barrels, Dick and Bruce tried to stop him, but ended up jumping into the river. They were arrested by Quimby's men after the police arrived on the scene.[10]

Dressed as an Arab, Dick set a trap for Gadget in the desert, by activating a large straight of spikes along the path the Gadgetmobile was travelling on. Dick informed Dr. Claw by video that Gadget would not survive, but while his vehicle was indeed stopped in it's tracks, the Inspector travelled on by foot. Working together with Lenny, Dick was ordered to use another machine to de-magnitize Gadget's compass, causing Gadget to walk around in circles. However this time he was pointed in right direction by [[Brain] (DiC)|Brain] in disguise. Later, in Yetzanistan, Dick and Lenny answered to local agent Fast Abdul. They were ordered to get Gadget inside a harem, but when they rushed him, Brain (now disguised as a dancing girl) flipped the carpet they were running on, causing them to trip and fall into the pool. Gadget, who mistakingly thought all he was seeing was just a mirage, identified the agents as acrobats. During the coronation of Prince Acar, the sacred scimitar needed to proclaim the Prince a King ended up in Gadget's hand. Dick and Lenny ran at him from two different directions, and when the three of them collided, the scimitar flew from Gadget's grasp and landed in the Princes's hand, completing the coronation. Shortly after this, Fast Abdul, Dick and Lenny were arrested by the local police.[11]

Dick was one of three M.A.D. Agents answering to Professor Easewell, who had set up a laboratory inside a large South African diamond mine. At one point he was disguised as a Miner kept an eye on the mine's security cameras. Dick used the intercom to inform the professor they had an intruder and was surprised when the professor asked him if the intruder was wearing a trench coat and a hat. The Professor told him to keep digging up the diamonds. Later, Dick was called into the Professor's office together with Fred and Bruce. All three were wearing a full M.A.D. uniform but no shoes, and were given an invisibility suit made of diamond dust to disguise themselves as a ghost. The three agents had troube adapting to their invisibility and kept bumping into each other. But when they confronted Inspector Gadget, each of them managed to grab a large rock with the intention of throwing it at the Inspector. However, Gadget activated his Gadget 'Copter and managed to elude them. The agents threw their rocks and hit each other instead. Gadget then lost control of his copter because of the mine's ceiling, inadvertedly extended his Arms and Legs, hitting the Agents and knocking the diamond dust off their suits, thus turning them visible again. Shortly after this, the three agents and the professor were arrested by the local police and taken away.[12]

Dick was stationed at Schiphol Airport in the Netherland, and was adressed by Dr. Claw as "Airport M.A.D. Agent" when ordered to illiminate Inspector Gadget. Dick had placed a time bomb in an otherwise empty suitcase identical to that of the Inspector. The suitcase was red and had a large white 'G' printed on it's side. But when Gadget was about to pick the bag off the revolving baggage carousel, he noticed one of his shoelaces was untied. He put the bag back on the carousel to tie his shoe, and the timebomb exploded at the point it passed Dick again. Dick's clothes were blown off and he ended up lying on the carousel in a daze, passing Gadget just before the Inspector's actual luggage was ejected onto the carousel. Noticing Dick, Gadget assumed that "he must be from the smoking section."

Later, Dick was present at M.A.D's windmill hideout where he ordered Professor Gilderbrink to cut the Amsterdiamond into tiny pieces that could be hidden in a shipment of chocolate. Meanwhile, Penny was hiding under the table and managed to switch the Amsterdiamond with an exact duplicate. Then Inspector Gadget knocked down the door, Gilderbrink smashed the replicate with his hammer and Quimby and the local police arrived on the scene. They arrested every M.A.D. Agent present, including Dick. Their hands were tied with ropes and they were led out of their hideout in a row, tied to each other with a lenght of rope in between each of them.[13]

Together with fellow Agents Fred and Pops, Dick was preparing boobytraps in the farmhouse they knew Inspector Gadget would be using as a retreat. Jarvis was on look-out duty, hidden within a haystack. Dick was rigging the closet door to explode when he told the others to hurry up, as Gadget would be there any minute. When Jarvis informed them that Gadget had arrived, the other agents jumped out of the nearest window. Dick had to push Fred through forcefully when Fred got stuck, breaking the window. The four of them reported back to Dr. Claw, who angrilly explained that he wanted Gadget to end up behind bars for life, not eliminated, and ordered them to save the Inspector from all the traps they had laid for him.

Dick knocked on the front door, claiming to be from the gas company and checking for leaks. To his surprise, Gadget had disguised himself by putting a stuffed moose's head over his own. Gadget led Dick to his wood burning stove, and Dick jumped into the closet he had rigged to be hit by the explosion himself. That evening, Gadget drove off in his van, and Dick got behind the wheel of a truck decked out with the M.A.D. logo upfront. He told Pops and Dick to drop everything and get in the back of his truck. They almost left without Jarvis, but backed up to fetch him.

Soon, Dick and Jarvis were tasked to take another vehicle, a red van, and transport Gadget's robot double to the airport to kidnap the Shah of Freeland. They did not realize Gadget's niece Penny had stowed away in the back of the truck. When the red van almost collided with M.A.D.'s green truck, in which Pops and Fred were holding the real Inspector Gadget, Penny took the opportunity to have the Robo Gadget switch clothes whith her uncle. Dick grabbed the real Gadget by the arm, thinking it to be the robo double, and headed for the airport. Jarvis was soon annoyed by the amount of talking the 'robot' did during the ride, to wich Dick replied that he hadn't built it. At the airport, Inspector Gadget thought he spotted a M.A.D. agent, and went into action, dragging Dick and Jarvis along. He then employed his new Gadget Bola-Balls, and soon he, both Agents and Brain were tied up by them. Then the Robo double dropped from the sky, knocking the group loose. Dick and Jarvis were quickly arrested by the police.[14]

Dick was stationed at La Scampi Opera House in Rome, Italy, posing as a technician backstage as well as an usher. He helped Luciano test out his singing plant by dangling a fake spider in front of the female Opera singer's face. Her screams obscured the noise made by the singing plant Luciano had obtained to melt through the Pizza King's vaults next to the Opera house. Dick was ordered by Pops to make sure Inspector Gadget retrieved his exploding ticket after Gadget lost it to a gust of wind. Chasing the Gadget Van in a green van of his own, Dick's windshield became obscured when he collided with a cart filled with tomatoes. He ended up driving off a pier and ended up on a barge filled with garbage. From this vantage point, he could see that Gadget found his ticket and was on his way back to the opera house. Having the remote with him, Dick set the ticket to explode in ten seconds, and it did so after Gadget deposited the ticket in Pops's booth.

Back at the opera house, Dick used spy holes in the wall to keep tabs on Gadget. Noticing the Inspector had taken the wrong balcony seat, he went up to Gadget, dressed as an usher and ended up down the trap door intended for Gadget himself. Moments later, Gadget did fall into the trap as well, and ended up on top of Dick. Dick ran out of the room, locked it and released gas to knock the Inspector out. But Gadget, thinking he had ended up in the smoking section, put on his Gadget Respirator and used his Gadget Laser to cut a man-sized hole in the door.

Dr. Claw noticed that Gadget was snooping in the basement and ordered all agents to get him. Dick asked Pops to helmp him aim a large cannon at Gadget as he was about to enter an elevator. Brain saved the Inspector's life by attempting to adjust the cannons' aim, then pushed Gadget as he entered the elevator, causing his Gadget Mallet to deflect the cannon ball right back at Pops and Dick. When an alarm went off on the dish machinery, Pops and Dick reported this to Claw, who reminded them to get Gadget instead. Luciano told them that he would keep Gadget center stage, so they could drop a weight on Gadget's head. But thanks to Brain's interference, the weight hit Luciano in the face instead. Luciano was about to grab Brain when Pops and Dick let loose another weight, and Luciano found his legs had been tangled up in the rope attached to this weight, causing him to be pulled up into the rafters. He told Pops and Dick to get Gadget off the stage before the singing plant was discovered. The two of them caused a grand piano to fall from the rafters onto the stage, but this time Brain activated a turntable in the stage floor to ensure the safety of both Gadget and Carlotta. Luciano was not amused, and told them to get to the control room and protect the plant.

Inside the control room, Pops and Dick noticed a young girl snooping around and trapped her in a small room when she tried to hide. By this time the dish and singing plant had opened up a substacial hole in the door to the Pizza King's vault, and Dick and Pop could look inside to see the Jeweled Pizza. But [Gadget's niece was set free by her dog and used her computer book to short-circuit the machine. Dr. Claw told them to stop trying to get the dish to work again, and grab the pizza instead. But when both of them stuck their hands through the hole in the wall, they were handcuffed together by a local Carabinieri, who had entered the vault together with Chief Quimby. Shortly, Pops and Dick were led into a police van, soon to be joined by Luciano.[15]

Dick and Bruce served as crew members on Captain Malcolm's cruise ship, which organized a Pirate Island Fun Tour exclusively for billionaires. After picking up Inspector Gadget, his niece Penny and their dog Brain from their sinking ship, Bruce and Dick were sent down to the engine room to get rid of Gadget, who had volunteered to fix the ship's 'broken engine'. They deposited Brain in a torpedo chute and fired it, not realizing it was heading for Pegleg Peg's pirate boat by mistake.

Soon, the billionaires had all been transferred to the Pirate ship, tied to the mast and were being persuaded to sign over all of their belongings to Pegleg Peg. However, they still thought the pirates were putting on a show, and that Inspector Gadget, who arrived using his Gadget 'Copter, was participating as well. Gadget and Brain ended up sitting high upon one of the ship's masts, while Dick and Bruce climbed up to get him from one side, while Pops and another M.A.D. Pirate did the same from the other side. When Gadget announced they were nearing an island they decided to take all the captives on land instead.

On Pirate Island, Gadget escaped from being forced into an alligator pit and Dick, Bruce, Pops and the other pirate were all sent after him. When Brain stole the documents the billionaires had signed to give their fortunes to Dr. Claw and became the agent's next target. At one point, Gadget swung onto a vine in the style of Tarzan, bumped into Dick and knocked him into the net one of the billionaires was carrying. The billionaire, thinking it was all part of the fun, was delighted to have 'captured' Dick.[16]

Dick became one of the students at Dr. Claw's M.A.D. Academy, and was referred by Claw as one of his 'kids'. Before classes properly started, Dick was wearing a standard M.A.D. uniform and playing with a paper airplane. When Claw ordered Agent No 3 to flip the control switch, Dick changed into a school uniform. Claw then asked the class to repeat their school motto "We hate Gadget".

Some time later, Dick was arm wrestling Pops while Lenny looked on. Dr. Claw informed them that Gadget was coming and told them to show him what they've learned. Dick posed as a gas station attendant (with the M.A.D. logo on his cap) after Lenny, now dressed as a schoolgirl, sprinkled nails on the road and asked Inspector Gadget to stop his Gadgetmobile, thereby puncturing it's tires. Dick appeared to fill up the Gadgetmobile with gas, then attached an air pump to one of it's tires, making it blow out of proportion. He hid behind a gas pump awaiting an explosion, but this never came thanks to[Brain, who had put on a uniform similar to Dick's and removed the air pump. Dick then tried to plant a lit stick of dynamite under the car, but Brain kicked the trolley Dick was lying on, sending him rolling into the garage, where the dynamite exploded and Dick was catapulted into the air. He landed on a stack of tires on the other side of the station.

Dr. Claw scolded Dick, Pops and Lenny for failing to eliminate Gadget, told them to study harder for their next test and ordered them back to the academy. Lenny and Dick rode a tandem to school with Pops sitting awkwardly in the middle. They passed the Gadgetmobile, and entered the academy by a secret door with Gadget hot on their tail. They managed to lose the Inspector, who assumed they had special training and that he had entered the local police academy. They next met up with Gadget in the office of the M.A.D. Principal. Gadget assumed they were colleagues from the Police Academy doing a refresher course, and the Principal told the trio to show Gadget around the facilities. Their tour led them to the bomb disposal unit, where Principal handed Gadget a time bomb to dispose. All four M.A.D. agents hid behind some sandbags. When Gadget thought he had succesfully disarmed what he thought was a fake bomb, he put it on the table and left. The four agents came out of hiding to check it out, and the bomb exploded in their faces.

Next, the three students were present as the Principal invited Gadget to drive his Gadgetmobile through a timed obstacle course backwards. As Gadget started his engine, all four agents were covered in mud. Angrily, the Principal ordered his students to "prepare for their lessons". They did so by manning a tank and attempting to blast the Gadgetmobile during the course. Dick was at the communication station, receiving orders from Dr. Claw to finish off Gadget. When Pops told the others to prepare to fire, Brain altered the trajectory of the cannon so that it wouldn't hit Gadget. Dick thought to get rid of Brain by knocking him off the tank using it's cannon. Just after Gadget had to stop his vehicle after using his glue gun by mistake, Penny took control of the tank using her computer watch. The tank changed direction, exiting the academy through a wall. Surprised, the three agents stuck their heads out of the top hatch to see what was going on, and find themselves crashing into some shacks on the street. [17]

Dick, Fred and Squirt posed as Malaysian natives to protect and aid Claw's latest ally, the Wild Man of Borneo. When Claw ordered them to man the launcher Dick carefully aimed and launched a rocket at the Gadgetmobile. The missile hit an ox-pulled cart instead which managed to get in the way. When Gadget stopped and got out to investigate, Fred told his fellow agents to flee, despite Claw telling them to get back to their posts and finish off Gadget. As the trio returned to the Wild Man's temple headquarters, Fred realized that Claw was going to be mad at them. Shortly, the Wild Man brought a captive Gadget to his hq, and Fred threw the Inspector in a dungeon while Dick opened the door. Inside the temple, Dick was unaware he passed two intruders in a hall: Gadget's niece Penny and her dog (disguised as a white monkey). Dick brought a box of medical supplies into the Wild Man's laboratory, still unaware he was being followed by Penny. Later, all three of the M.A.D. Agents began to move the afflicted prisoners (including Gadget and Brain) to a M.A.D. helicopter, with Squirt telling the others to hurry. They were going to release the virus all over the world. After the last box of virus had been brought aboard the helicopter, Dick quickly changed into a pilot's outfit and took the controls inside the cockpit. Gadget received the antidote from Penny, using a blowgun. He then identified himself to Dick and took control of the helicopter. He quickly threw Dick and the sick explorers out of the vehicle and promised to return it after he had put his captive (Brain disguised as a M.A.D. Agent) behind bars.[18]

Dick posed as a violin playing gypsy at the Metro City airport. When Inspector Gadget arrived, Dick put the hat in which he had been collecting money on his head and used his instrument like a bow and arrow. In this case the violin served as a bow and it's bow as an arrow. But Gadget had a malfunction with his Gadget Magnets and evaded the projectile, which richochet back to Dick, knocking his hat off.

Dick then travelled to the gypsy camp in Romanovia where he was once again ordered to get rid of Gadget. When Gadget arrived at the camp, Volla, king of the Gypsies mistook him for the son of King Woodlig of Romanovia and welcomed him with open arms. Volla took Gadget to Dick, who was offered him a game of cups. But instead of hiding a ball beneath one of the cups, Dick used a lit explosive. Dick hid behind a wagon, but Gadget failed to find the ball since it got stuck in the cup Dick had placed it under. Gadget and Volla left, leaving Dick to discover the explosive, which went off in his face. Enraged, Dick swore he would get Gadget for this.

For his next gypsy test, Gadget was told to ride Goulash, the wildest stallion in all Romanovia. Dick added an extra challenge: to retrieve a scarf from a pole using only his teeth. Dick hid another explosive inside the scarf. Gadget used his remote control Gadget Teeth to fetch the scarf and return it to Dick. Catching the scarf and the explosive, Dick panicked and hid behind a tree. The resulting explosion blew away most of the tree and left Dick charred and blackened, looking like a burned out tree himself.

Dick convinced Volla that Gadget should prove himself by wrestling a large gypsy he had picked out. He told the large wrestler to finish off Gadget, then get the royal seal that Abdul had stolen from the Royal palace of Romanovia, and deliver it to Dr. Claw. To make sure Gadget stood no chance during the fight, Dick snuck up on him from behind carrying a large net. But he walked into a rope trap laid by Brain (disguised as a gypsy) and ended up hanging upside down from a tree. The large wrestler asked Dick how he got up there, to which Dick replied "Never mind, just get me down". The dimwitted strongman pulled with such strength that the entire tree branch came down on top of them.

Meanwhile, Gadget's niece Penny and her new friend Sonya had retrieved the royal seal from it's hiding place provided by Abdul. They told Brain to take it to Gadget, but Dick spotted him and tried to take it from him. He collided with Volla's daughter Vespella (with Brain sandwiched in the middle). The royal seal was catapulted into the air, and was caught by Gadget, flying his Gadget 'Copter. Dr. Claw contacted Dick and the Wrestler from his M.A.D.mobile, saying he was ready to be crowned king, but Dick had to inform him that it was too late. Then, Chief Quimby and the real King of Romanovia had arrived on the scene, and Gadget had returned the seal to its rightful owner.[19]

Designated "Agent 3", Dick was disguised as a motorcycle cop and was enjoying a lollipop when Claw contacted him. He promptly spat out the lollipop. Located next to a large billboard advertising toothpaste, he was informed that Gadget was on his way in the Gadget Van, and ensured Dr. Claw that he would get Gadget. Dick let Gadget pass him, then caught up with him and signalled for him to pull over. Thinking the motorcycle cop was a colleague asking for an autograph, Gadget tried to oblige, but activated his Gadget Laser by mistake. Dick narrowly managed to evade the laser beam, but then the oil tank of his cycle was hit and sprung a leak. Losing control of his bike, Dick made an impressive jump over six large trucks, landed on a civilian car and bounced off. He ended up at some petrol pumps at the gas station where all the trucks had parked.

When Gadget, with a little help from his dog Brain, arrived at M.A.D's New Foods Dairy company farm, Dr. Claw told all agents to be on the lookout for him. Dick, now dressed as a farmhand joined the similarly dressed Jarvis and Pops (disguised as a little old lady) in spying on Gadget. Having seen Gadget enter a barn, Dick pushed a large bull in after him. They watched from a distance as the bull attacked Gadget several times. Then Claw contacted them again, saying Gadget was stealing their profits. When Gadget stopped to take some notes on the dairy production inside a silo, Dick and Jarvis grabbed him from behind and pushed him over the rails, into a large vat of milk. But when they saw the bull charging at them (chasing Brain, also disguised as a farmer), both agents panicked and fell into the vat themselves, while Gadget was still hanging over it's side. The agents and Brain ended up being churned into large, round cheeses and spat out of the bottom of the machine onto a conveyor belt. A short while later, Chief Quimby and his men arrived, and Brain used a pitchfork to lead the two agents as well as the bull (who had joined them as another giant cheese) out of the barn.[20]

Dick and Fred were assigned to assist Dr. Daedalus in his attempt to steal the formula to make lead into gold from a new museum on the Greek island of Thermos. Dr. Claw anonymously gifted a full size replica of the Trojan Horse to the museum, and arranged for the three angents to hide inside as it was transported to the museum. The insides of the horse also came equipped with a small laboratory for Daedalus to do his experiments once he obtained the formula. Once the final exhibit was in place on the island, Dick and Fred exited the Trojan Horse to get the formula. They were unaware they were being snooped on by Inspector Gadget's niece, Penny. Fred made an attempt on the Inspector's life when Gadget was receiving a tour of the mythological garden, but ended up crashing into a statue of a horse and chariot himself. Dick, who had also sustained some bruises, brought Fred back to the Trojan Horse, using the chariot as a makeshift wheelchair. Inside they were scolded by Claw, and ordered to use the robot Minotaur against Gadget, who had entered the island's labyrinth. Dick encouraged Fred, who controlled the Minotaur as if playing a video game. But Gadget defeated the robot by scrambling it's circuits with his water pistol. When Daedalus barged into the Trojan Horse carrying the formula, Claw ordered Dick to assist Daedalus in the Trojan Horse's lab.

Dick was tasked to get each of the ingredients for Dr. Daedalus. When he couldn't find any Tellurium, Gadget's niece Penny took advantage of the distraction and stole the ancient formula. But she ran into Fred before reaching the exit, and threw it to the ground. The formula broke into small pieces, but Daedalus only needed one more ingredient, and managed to find it by putting the right two pieces back together. Daedalus lowered the bar of lead on a string into the completed formula and retrieved a bar of gold. He then ordered Dick & Fred to move the Trojan Horse into the sea and convert it to hovercraft. However, Penny took control of the hovercraft using her computer book and turned the craft back to Thermos. Crashing into land, the craft flipped over and converted back to horse mode. Inside, the three agents were dazed and confused, and Daedalus discovered that the bar of gold had broken in two, revealing there to be just a small layer of gold covering the lead. Dismayed, Daedalus discovered the formula to be a fraud. All three were eventually found by Chief Quimby and the local police and arrested.[21]

Dick was stationed at M.A.D.'s High View hotel, located at the top of Everest Island in the South Pacific. Wearing diving gear, he and several other M.A.D. Agents had been blasting away the support of the island underwater. By the time all of the support was gone, the island would sink to the bottom of the ocean, leaving only the top, including High View hotel, above water. All the other resorts would sink and be destroyed, leaving only M.A.D. in the luxury hotels business on Everest island. He and Bruce were dressed as miners and were told by Ricardo, the hotel manager, to move the explosives away from the elevator. When Ricardo send the last shipment of explosives down in an elevator to destroy the island's foundation, Penny used her computer book to send the elevator and the explosives back up. The High View hotel exploded instead and Dick was catapulted into the air. He landed safely in the sea, but was immediately arrested by the Chief Quimby and members of the local police.[22]

Dick and Fred set up a stall selling ice water in Metro City during a drought. Even though they charged 50 dollars a glass and 500 for a bottle, people were so in need in water that they rushed to the stall. Penny used the laser from her computer book to shoot a hole in the water truck, then yelled for the people of Metro City to come and get free water there. This left Dick and Fred receiving no more business. With the truck soon empty, the two agents decided to go back to Dr. Claw's secret underwater reservoir for a refill, even though they realized Claw would be mad at them. On their way, they realized that neither of them had paid attention to collect the money from their customers, and they had somehow misplaced it. Just when they arrived at the dam, Dr. Claw arrived, flying his M.A.D. Jet, and fired two missiles to destroy the dam. The truck that Dick and Fred drove was knocked over by a massive amount of water released after the explosion and destruction. They climbed out together with another defeated Agent, Kirk Boulder and all three sadly sat down on a rock. Gadget told them they should be more careful where they swam, and Chief Quimby and his men arrived to arrest them.[23]

Dick was one of the Agents posing as Druids in and around Stonehenge together with Lenny and Fred. They were led by the Scottish agent sometimes called "Pete", who spread rumours in the area that the ancient spirits of the Stonehenge Druids were angry and intended to protect the place from visiting solar scientist. One by one, the fake druids kidnapped each of the scientists, until only one remained: Dr. Flashpan. The three agents, their faces hidden by the hoods of their robes, cornered Flashpan after he left the local Wolfshead Inn and carried him away. They were unaware that Penny had witnessed the kidnapping and followed them. But back to Stonehenge, they quickly spotted the girl and tied her to one of the ancient rocks. They were suddenly startled by a mad dog (Brain with shaving cream from one of the scientist's tents on his face) and fled from the scene. But "Pete", who had joined Dick and Lenny and was also in Druid disguise, soon realized they had been tricked. He and Dick snuck up on the girl and the dog, but when they jumped at them, their victims evaded them and ran, causing Dick and "Pete" to bud heads and both fell to the ground. The recovered to chase Penny and Brain into the forest, but lost sight of them and decided to go back to the camp and inform Dr. Claw.

The next morning, Flashpan and the other missing scientist finished building a giant heat ray at Stonehenge. "Pete" had tricked them into thinking they were working on a secret government project. The scientist had made sure the solar collectors were centered precisely. When "Pete" revealed they planned to use the devide to melt down the Tower of London, Dr. Flashpan was shocked and dismayed. The M.A.D. Agents jumped the three scientist and tied them up to the scaffolding on which the machine had been placed.

When Inspector Gadget arrived at Stonehenge in his Gadgetmobile, the four agents quickly put up their hoods again. Gadget noticed the three scientists all tied up, but assumed they were new freshmen from Stonehenge College. The agents grabbed Gadget and tied him up on a slab, then aimed the solar cannon at the Tower of London. Fred and Dick uncovered several large mirrors attached to the stones of Stonehenge. These mirrors would reflect the sun's rays onto the heat ray cannon, amplifying them. The mirrors were angled to reflect the sun at it's highest point, and London was being held for ransom. "Pete" told everyone to leave the area, as it was 30 seconds to zero hour. Only "Pete" and Dick remained to handle the cannon. Brain, now disguised as a druid, snuck up to the scientists to untie them as well as Gadget. Penny took over the controls of the cannon with her computer book. The light was reflected back to the mirrors and the machine began to overheat and soon exloded. British bobbies arrived on the scene together with Chief Quimby. They arrested the M.A.D. agents, including Dick.[24]

Dick and Pops arrived at a cave in Fezzug by helicopter to help Louise Lane retrieve the lost treasure. They decended in a metal basket hanging from the copter, loaded it with gold and jewels, and together with Lane they got back in, so that they could be pulled back up. The trio was unaware that Penny grabbed on to the underside of the basket so she could escape from the cave as well. Penny then used her computer book to take control of the helicopter, causing it to crash against the side of a mountain. Lane, Dick and Pops all escaped by parachute while the treasure came raining down from the sky. On the ground, the three agents tried to pick up as many of the gold coins as they could, but the Fierce Ones arrived on the scene and stopped them.[25]

Season 2[]

Dick and Jarvis served as Great Wambini's accomplices during his performance at the Metro City Auditorium. Wambini introduced himself and his assistant and explained that he was going to switch the contents of the two saves with each other. One vault held gold, the other stacks of money. After the Great Wambini uttered some magic words, smoke filled the air, obscuring the fact that Dick and Jarvis hoisted both saves up into the rafters. Up there, Dick cracked the safes, Jarvis emptied them and then they put fake backdrops into the empty safes before dropping them back onto the stage while Wambini produced more smoke. They attempted to drop the gold safe on Inspector Gadget, but he was pushed out of the way by Brain, who unfortunately got flattened himself (but soon recovered). After the show, Dick and Jarvis carried a magic booth in which Inspector Gadget had been locked into a truck baring the M.A.D. logo and transported it to the Great Wambini's mansion. Together with Lenny, they were tasked to guard the sacks of gold and money in the library, but all three agents fell asleep sitting next to an open fire. When Penny snuck into the room to fetch the loot, Lenny woke up, and he and Dick chased her to the front door. Penny dropped the sack at the top of the stairs, causing Lenny and Dick to trip over it and tumble right into the arms of the police, led by Chief Quimby, who had just arrived on the scene.[26]

Dick and Lenny dressed as stewardesses with the M.A.D. logo on their caps when Inspector Gadget booked a flight to Alpakistan. Once in the air, Dick lowered the cabin pressure, which set off the alarm and lowered gas masks over every passenger seat. He made sure the masks only emited sleeping gas, and soon all the passengers were asleep, apart from Gadget, who used his own mask. When Dick told the Inspector that everyone should wear an airline mask, Gadget pushed his airline mask onto Dick's mouth, who was knocked out immediately. Lenny dragged his colleague by the feet to a corner and tried to wake him up. He gave up after a few attempts, and pushed a button to make Inspector Gadget fall through a trap door hidden in his seat and plummet out of the airplane. Gadget survived the fall, and Dick was informed to try again. He walked up to Gadget in the street and offered him a complimentary phrase book, which M.A.D. Cat had rigged to explode.[27]

Dick, Bruce and Abdul were aiding the M.A.D. Ninja in stealing all the gold from the Metro City Mint. They managed to trap Inspector Gadget in a large safe with a bomb, and waited for the arrival of a M.A.D. helicopter on the roof. When Corporal Capeman arrived on the roof, chasing Brain, he recognized the Agents as villains and tried to put them under arrest. He managed to fend them off thanks to Brain's help. Then several Police Helicopters arrived instead. The Ninja escaped, but the other three agents were arrested and Capeman took the credit for their capture.[28]

For the first of eight crimes to celebrate M.A.D.'s eight anniversary, Dick used a large claw to grab the fabulous Clopman Diamond from the the Metro City Museum and replace it with a fake. Together with Pops, who had caused a distraction inside the museum with smoke bombs while posing as a caterer, Dick sped off in a caterer's truck, unaware that Penny had attached a tracking device to the underside. For the second crime, Dick and Jarvis robbed the Metro City Art Center. When Corporal Capeman asked them if they had seen a suspicious looking litte old lady inside, Jarvis asked Capeman to help them load the paintins they were carrying into their van, which Capeman did. The two of them then robbed an armored truck as the third crime.

Later, as part of the fifth and sixth crime, Jarvis and Dick robbed several cruiseships in the Metro City Harbour. They then headed to the Gadget house to execute crimes seven: destroy the Gadget House and eight: destroy Gadget. Mistaking them for backup agents in disguise, Gadget welcomed them and cut an entrance for them through the bars protecting the house. Walking behind Gadget and Capeman, Dick and Jarvis tried to hit them from behind, but were thwarted when Brain pushed a cart at them. Briefly dazed, the agents dropped the final two M.A.D. candles, which Gadget picked up and took into the house. Dick ensured Jarvis that Gadget had by now gathered enough candles filled with explosives to be able to blow him sky high, so they decided to leave. But just as Dick started to set the candles to explode while driving away in their van, Gadget flew after them and deposited all the candles through the van window. Moments later, the van exploded.[29]

Jarvis was one of the M.A.D. Agents stationed at Noodleman's Clinic. Dick was stationed in one of the control rooms after Gadget and Capeman (both knocked out by sleeping glass) were brought in. They prepared to fire a Gadget Neutrolizer Ray at the Inspector, but he evaded it's rays and aimed it at the controm by mistake, wrecking the instruments.[30]

In a news report, Dick and Bruce were seen lying defeated on the ground with Capeman jumping on top of them victoriously after Gadget and Capeman thwarted a M.A.D. plot to kidnap world's wealthiest siamese twins[31]

Dick was one of several Agents who were posted at TV Station 3 from which Dr. Spectrum operated his Dream Machine. Dick and Jarvis were packing Dream Away Machines as they rolled off the assembly line. They were also instrumental in robbing a gold transport after it's driver and guards had fallen asleep on the job. Back at the Station, Dr. Spectrum ordered Dick and Jarvis to take care of Gadget immediately, but they felt they deserved a lunch break first. Dick, who had brought pie for desert, was enjoying his lunch with Jarvis when Spectrum and Bert Sweetley told them to drop everything and get rid of Gadget right away. Jarvis operated a Remote Control Robot and sent it to destroy Gadget while Dick gave instructions. But after Gadget used a cutting laser from a large machine to split the robot in half, Jarvis broke his remote control and threw it away in disgust.

Inside the studio where a commercial was being filmed, Dick instructed Jarvis to throw a microphone stand at Gadget. He knocked Gadget out, and Bert Sweetley took credit for it. Jarvis and Dick held Gadget's arms while he lay on the ground, then helped him up and hooked him up to a helmet version of the Dream Machine Gadget's body began to react, and his telescoping Gadget Arms knocked both agents against a wall. They managed to grab his arms again, but Gadget inflated his Gadget Coat. Dick and Jarvis held on as Gadget floated out of the building using an escape duct while the machine began to explode. Gadget woke up and swapped the inflated coat for his Gadget 'Copter. He landed near Chief Quimby and his men, with Dick and Jarvis still holding on to him. The two agents were swiftly arrested by the police.[32]

Dick and Fred used a M.A.D. hot air balloon to fly over Metro Park Lake that Dr. Claw was threatening to evaporate completely. Fred used a M.A.D. style bullhorn and told the Mayor of Metro City to put ten million dollars in a basket hanging from the balloon. When Drs. Null and Void ordered H.A.R.O.L.D. to evaporate all the water in the lake, the Mayor panicked and asked the other people present to donate money to put in the basket, which Dick and Fred then retrieved.[33]

Dick and Fred succesfully robbed the Metro City Convention Center while Inspector Gadget was being honored by his peers and got away in a van with various items, clothes and food. But when Gadget caught up with them using his Gadget Legs, they gave up and returned the loot to the cops.[34]
