Synopsis[]

Gadget comes home from the supermarket with food and bad news for Penny and Brain: The store was out of their usual brand of Metro Dairy Farms dairy products, so they have to make do with more expensive dairy products from the mysterious New Foods Dairy (whose logo is sinister and slightly familiar-looking: a yellow-eyed, black cow's face against a red background). Conveniently enough, Chief Quimby assigns Gadget to Metro Dairy Farms to find out why the cows there have suddenly stopped producing milk as Penny goes to investigate while Brain follows Gadget. The inspector heads out to the country to investigate, but Claw has no intention to let Gadget stop his dairy monopoly, so he sends M.A.D. agents to intercept him.

Meanwhile, Penny noses around a refrigerated New Foods Dairy truck and is trapped inside. Once the truck reaches its destination (the dairy itself), the little girl escapes and discovers the whole operation is run by Claw. A scan with her computer book locates a rotating satellite-type dish atop a silo that is sending a signal to cows at other dairies in the area that has somehow dried up their milk glands.

Up the road a piece, Gadget (with Brain's anonymous help) avoids the hazards from Claw's agents ― a phony cop who tries to run him off the road, but crashes near a gas station after Gadget accidentally uses his laser on the agent's motorcycle, an unlikely farmer who gives him wrong directions, an agent driving a thresher through a booby-trapped bridge, and an assassin dressed as an elderly woman ― and eventually makes his way to New Foods Dairy (he thinks he is at Metro Dairy as Chief Quimby ordered him to investigate that area, but the MAD agents changed the road signs). Seeing that Gadget is here, Dr. Claw orders all his hoods to gang up on him.

Busy with their own evil dairy farm chores, the M.A.D. agents let loose a relentlessly persistent and aggressive bull to finish off the inspector. Gadget gets tossed around a bit by the bull, but manages to avoid serious injury. From his computer console, Claw spots Penny by the sound wave dish and dispatches an agent to stop her. Penny has managed to disable the dish and contacted Chief Quimby. Thanks to her efforts, over at the Metro City Dairy farm, with the M.A.D. signal deactivated, the cows begin to regain their normal appearances from their shriveled state and start producing milk again, putting the farm back in business, as Claw watches in rage on his computer monitor. As Penny heads down, the agent was ready to jump Penny, but Quimby arrives with the MCPD, with one of the officers chasing the agent off so Penny can climb down safely. Quimby congratulates Gadget for a job well done, as Brain, holding a pitchfork and encased in cheese, walks the rest of the agents (and the bull) into custody, thus putting an end to Claw's profiteering. Needless to say, this angers Dr. Claw and he slams his fist on his desk and gets it stuck in super glue, which gets him enraged with M.A.D. Cat; then M.A.D. Cat then winks at the audience and shows the audience the paste he used on Dr. Claw's desk, snickering slyly at getting some payback for the torment Dr. Claw put him through all episode.

The episode ends with Gadget and Penny talking about how important dairy foods are after bringing home some fresh Metro City Dairy products once the farm was back in operation. However, when Gadget mentions getting a cow to provide fresh milk for them, it turns out he got the bull that had been such an annoyance to him earlier in the episode, leaving him puzzled as Penny and Brain laugh.

Quotes[]

  • (As Penny climbs down from the silo after having disabled the M.A.D. signal that put Metro Dairy Farms out of business, Pops prepares to capture her as soon as she reaches the ground)
    Pops: (chuckling wickedly)
    Quimby: Hold it right there!
(Pops turns to see the MCPD have arrived, and one of Quimby's officers moves to arrest him, forcing Pops to flee as the officer gives foot pursuit of him, allowing Penny to hop safely off the ladder onto solid ground)
    Quimby: Penny, where's your uncle?
Gadget: (emerging from the barn with the bent blades of his Gadget Copter still sticking out of his hat) Oh, hi Chief!
Quimby: Good work, Gadget! I'm proud of you!
    Gadget: Uh, yes, thanks.
(Brain is then heard giving some angry, commanding barks, and moments later, the two M.A.D. Agents that got stuck in cheese wheels walk out, followed by the bull, much to Quimby and Gadget's surprise, as Brain follows after them, keeping them dead to rights with a pitchfork, despite still being stuck in a cheese wheel himself like they were)
    Penny: Good boy, Brain!
  • (As Claw watches on his computer screen as Gadget winks to the camera, he sounds outright furious)
Claw: Again, Gadget has foiled my plans! AGAIN!!! ARGH!!!
(Claw slams his fist onto his desk, unaware that the spot he slammed it down on was covered in something. When he tries to pull it back up, it is stuck tight. The something was super glue.)
Claw: Wha...??? (grunting and groaning with increasing fury) M.A.D. CAT!!!
M.A.D. Cat: (winks to the audience and reveals he planted the super glue before letting off his trademark hissing laughter)
