Fast Abdul is one of Claw's field agents in Inspector Gadget. He was known as the sneakiest thief in Yetzanistan.

Summoned to Claw's castle, Fast Abdul dared to test Claw's patience by taking away his computer when he was looking the other way to prove just how fast he could be. Dr. Claw remembind Abdul he had a very short temper, leading Abdul to return the computer immediately. He was then told to make sure he was as quick with Inspector Gadget.
Back in his home country of Yetzanistan, Abdul visited Prince Acar unannounced, to present a gift for his coronation. It was a cart bearing a model of the desert being doused by rain. The Prince was quite impressed, for rain was the one thing his country lacked. Abdul proposed to store his gift in the royal vault, which the Prince thought to be very wize. His royal highness and Abdul entered the vault, where Abdul inquired about the Sacred Scimitar, the object needed in Acar's coronation. Acar explained that if someone stole it, and was in posession of it at the time of coronation, that person would become King in his stead. After leaving the vault, it was sealed with it's solid steel door. However, Abdul's trained monkey had been hiding in the cart on which his gift was placed. The monkey got out of the cart, stole the Scimitar and took it back into the cart with it.
Gadget, his niece Penny and their dog Brain arrived in Yetzanistan. When Penny used her computer book to check on the scimitar, she was the first to learn it had been stolen. Abdul had somehow managed to retrieve his cart from the vault, and rushed past Penny in the marketplace. But Dr. Claw contacted him by videophone to tell him that he had failed to get rid of Gadget (actually it had been Abdul's co-agents Dick and Lenny who had been trying to stop the Inspector) and told Abdul to illiminate him right now. Abdul located the Inspector wandering the streets of Yetzanistan, which he mistakingly believed to be a mirage. Abdul used signs with arrows to lead Gadget into a den of snake charmers. But instead of falling into a pit filled with snakes, Gadget simply used the reptile's as stepping stones to get to the other side.
Meanwhile, Penny had teamed up with Prince Acar and together they identified Fast Abdul as the culprit. Penny told Brain to find the Rainbox, which he did, and managed to retrieve the scimitar from it while the monkey looked on. Fast Abdul arrived home just when Brain walked out, and was almost fooled when Brain held his breath in order to pose as a statue by the door. But when Brain began to run, Abdul and his monkey went after him. Soon they were chasing Brain through the market. Brain tried to blend in at a stall, and Abdul was hit on the head by a piece of a wall Inspector Gadget had carved out using his laser finger. But when Brain hid the scimitar in a large urn and himself in another, the monkey noticed it from above and took the scimitar back. Having recovered from being hit with a slab of stone, Abdul joined the monkey as they fled from the marketplace. Penny and Acar saw it all, but were unable to stop them.
During another video conference with Dr. Claw, Abdul was accused of acting too slowly concerning Gadget. Abdul replied that his agents were fast at work. Dick and Lenny rushed the Inspector while he was relaxing in a harem, but ended up in the pool thanks to some quick thinking from Brain (posing as a dancing girl). At the start of the corronation ceremony, Penny noticed Abdul moving through the audience, but did not have the scimitar on him. Abdul's monkey still had it, and was perched on top of the platform the Prince was sitting in. They waited for the Prince to confirm that the scimitar had been stolen. Then Abdul whistled for his monkey to climb down and hand the sacred scimitar to him. Abdul held the golden weapon aloft to claim himself king, but Penny ran onto the stage, stomped Abdul's fout and caught the scimitar when it flew out of his hand. She threw it to Brain, but Gadget, who still thought all that surrounded him was just a mirage, danced around and knocked the weapon out of Brain's paw, back into Abdul's hand. Abdul chuckled wickedly and thanked Gadget, but Penny grabbed his legs, causing him to topple over. This time the monkey caught the scimitar, Gadget extended his Gadget Arm to take it from the animal, Dick and Lenny rushed at the Inspector from both sides, all three collided, the scimitar once more flew into the air and the Prince caught it, leading his people to proclaim him their King. Shortly after this, Fast Abdul, Dick and Lenny were arrested by the local police and taken away in a police van.
