Franklin Wendell "Frank" Welker (born March 12, 1946) is an American voice actor. He provided the voice for Dr. Claw and the vocal effects for Brain and M.A.D. Cat in Inspector Gadget. The voices of Dark Rider from Turbo Teen, Krulos from Dino Riders, Darkseid from Super Friends: The Legendary Super Powers Show and The Cave of Wonders from Disney's Aladdin, also voiced by Welker, sound almost identical to Dr. Claw's voice.
Other roles Welker has become renowned for are Megatron and Soundwave from the Transformers franchise, Fred Jones from Scooby-Doo (his first ever voice role), Abu and The Cave of Wonders from Aladdin, Curious George from the show of the same name, Dr. Ray Stantz and Slimer from The Real Ghostbusters, Garfield from The Garfield Show, and so on. In games, he voices Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and the Blot in Epic Mickey games. He has even provided the vocal effects for Bullet the Squirrel from The Powerpuff Girls.
