The Gadget Cuffs are a pair of handcuffs that come out of Gadget's forearm just above his hand.

- Gadget in Winterland:
- Gadget deploys them to arrest the Abominable Snowbot after being dropped twice off a cliff. Unfortunately, he does this just as Brain is about to push the Snowbot over the cliff with a ramming log.
- Gadget at the Circus:
- Gadget decided to arrest a circus elephant and extended his cuffs to fit around it's trunk. The cuffs grew in size to accomodate the trunk's girth while doing so. But after the elephant sprayed water at the Inspector and catapulted him into the air, Gadget decided to let if off with just a warning.
- The Boat (malfunction):
- While falling from a great hight, Inspector Gadget commanded for his Gadget Brella, but his Gadget Cuffs emerged from his left arm instead.
- Amusement Park:
- Having been thrown off a cable car, Gadget extended his Gadget Cuffs to grab onto the cable above him and stop his fall.
- The Invasion:
- Gadget attemted to cuff a M.A.D. agent posing as a martian, but got bumped on the head before he could attach it. He managed to cuff the "Martian" on a second try. But a short while later, Gadget was distracted by another three M.A.D. agents dressed as a policemen. While Gadget signed autographs, one of the fake cops used a pair of plyers to cut the cuffs and release the Martian.
- The Curse of the Pharaoh:
- While investigating a pyramid, Gadget noticed a suspicious looking mummy and decided to take him in for questioning. He attached the cuffs from his right arm around one of the Mummy's arm, but as he walked away, the mummy's bindings began to unravel, leaving only a pair of eyes and teeth. Gadget eventually deduced that the mummy must have found a way to slip away from him.
- Basic Training:
- Gadget suspected the Train engineer to be a M.A.D. Agent and voice activated his handcuffs, which overshot and attached to a pole instead of the man's arm. When the Train conductor (actually a M.A.D. Agent) ensured the engineer was innocent, Gadget retracted his cuffs.
- Sleeping Gas:
- While testing his Gadgets, Inspector Gadget catapulted himself into his bedroom by accident. His cuffs were activated by mistake and attached themselves to his extended neck, leading Gadget to proclaim everything was in perfect working order.
- Greenfinger:
- While hanging upside down fron an anchor attached to a M.A.D. balloon, Gadget activated his cuffs and used them to grab onto a waiter (Brain in disguise) whom he suspected of being an M.A.D. agent. Brain was relieved, as it saved him from falling. A flock of birds collided with Gadget, puncturing his Gadget Coat and sending him and Brain flying. They ended up in a cart transporting giant tomatos, where Brain managed to slip out of the cuffs when Gadget was distracted.
- Gadget Goes West:
- Gadget cuffs a suspect (Brain disguised as a Mexican) and takes him to the Sheriff of Wild West Tourist Town. As soon as he retracts the cuffs however, the suspect makes a run for it and escapes.
- Photo Safari:
- Gadget used his Cuffs on a deactivated M.A.D. robot, the Black Devil, saying "You're under arrest for not wearing a leash."
- Clear Case:
- Thinking an ostrich is either a ghost or a M.A.D. Agent posing as a ghost, Gadget attached his cuffs around the bird's neck when trying to arrest it. But the ostrich made a run for it, dragging the Inspector along. Later, Gadget encountered the same ostrich inside the diamond mine, and used his cuffs on it's neck once again.
- The Great Divide:
- After falling in a lake, Inspector Gadget emerged safe and sound with a large trout cuffed to his arm, and more fish in a net stored inside his hat, as well as inside his coat.
- Pirate Island:
- Gadget called out for his Gadget Cuffs while chasing a suspect on Pirate Island, but his Laser finger was activated instead.
- No Flies on Us:
- Gadget tried to use his cuffs to arrest a monkey (Brain in disguise) whom he thought was endangering an alligator (a protected species). He ended up cuffed to his own left shoe. Later, Gadget cuffed Brain (now disguised as a native) while commandeering a M.A.D. Helicopter.
- Luck of the Irish (mentioned only):
- Gadget called for his Gadget Cuffs while chasing a fake Leprechaun (Brain in disguise) and held out his right arm accordingly, but his Gadget Legs were activated instead.
- Prince of the Gypsies:
- Gadget atempted to cuff a suspect (Brain in disguise) but it ended up around Volla of the gypsy's foot instead. He then used his Gadget key to release them.
- Did You Myth Me?:
- Gadget apprehended a suspect (Brain disguised as a statue of a Faun) and cuffed him. He then informed Quimby by calling him on the Top-Secret Gadget Phone. But Brain pulled the string to inflate the Gadget Coat, and both of them floated into the air. When Gadget told his suspect he had no idea how to get down, Brain removed one of the horns from his head and punctured the coat. They landed on a statue of Zues, breaking it to pieces, and Brain managed to escape from the cuffs.
- Funny Money:
- Gadget cuffed Brain (this time disguised as a prisoner) during a case involving the Funny Money Counterfeiting gang. When Gadget extended both of his arms towards the gang's helicopter, Brain was released from the cuffs by accident and left behind.
- Smeldorado:
- A terrible cold caused Gadget's gadgets to activate at random whenever he sneezed. At one point, while talking to Dr. Stench in the control cabin of a train carrying a gold shipment, Gadget's Cuffs emerged, and Stench cuffed Gadget to the consoles. He used the skeleton key from his Finger Gadgets to release himself.
- Quimby Exchange:
- Gadget cuffed himself to Nervous Nick DeFecto, not to put him under arrest, but to ensure his safety. He then led DeFecto in the back of his Gadget Van and absentmindedly closed the door on him while they were still cuffed to each other. After several attempts, Gadget got in the van via the back entrance together with DeFecto and removed the cuffs after Nick promised not to run. Later, at the old Ice factor, Gadget thought Nick had accidentally hurt himself again, Gadget cuffed himself to DeFecto once more. Dr. Claw froze Gadget in a large block of ice, and carted it away, with DeFecto hanging from it by the cuff and chain. Together with Quimby and Brain, frozen in separate blocks of ice, they all ended up on a conveyor belt, where Gadget was almost cut into ice cubes if Penny hadn't taken control of the machinery using her computer book. Nick was still cuffed to Gadget after the ice began to melt away in the sunlight outside the factory.
- Snakin' All Over
- At the Firstpenny Mansion, Gadget deployed is Gadget Domelight together with his Cuffs and Gadget Skates and told everybody present they were under arrest. He then bumped into a wall and landed on his back.
- Later, having chased a suspect outside with the Old Guard hot on his own trail, Gadget and the Guard were surprised when Professor Venom tumbled down the fire escape carrying a bag filled with stolen coins. Both men told Venom he was under arrest, and Gadget cuffed him at the same time.
- Birds of a Feather:
- Gadget cuffed a suspect (Brain disguised as a Sultan) on the leg while guarding the Star of Istanbul. He then ran back to the Star where he captured a bird in his Gadget Net, and inflated his Gadget Coat to bring the bird outside. Brain was being dragged along by the leg the entire time. When another bird used its claws to puncture Gadget's coat, the Inspector and Brain ended up crashing to the floor, where Brain used Gadget's screwdriver finger to unlock the cuffs.
- Fang the Wonder Dog:
- Gadget called upon his Gadget Arms to save M.A.D. Agent Bruce from falling into a pit, but his cuffs deployed by mistake. Cuffing on to one of Bruce's legs, Gadget was pulled down into the pit as well, but quickly activated his Gadget Coat, and both of them floated up out of the pit. Safe and sound, Gadget freed Bruce from the cuffs.
- School for Pickpockets:
- Gadget called upon his Gadget Cuffs, but his Gadget Mallet was activated. It struck the top off of a sceptre being held by the King of the Carnaval. He then proceeded to cuff the town major, and was in turn handcuffed himself by the local police.
Season 2 (1983 series)[]
- The Capeman Cometh:
- When Chief Quimby and his men released Gadget from a safe he had been locked in, Gadget cuffed the first man he encountered, which was the Chief.
- Crashcourse in Crime:
- Gadget activated his cuffs by voice command after cornering an old lady suspected of being a M.A.D. agent. But when the only person in the alley turned out to be a little girl, he retracted the cuffs and asked the girl for information.
- Ghost Catchers:
- Gadget attempted to grab one of the Ghost Globules with his handcuffs, but it slipped out.
- N.S.F. Gadget:
- Mistaking an actual bank guard for a M.A.D. Agent in disguise, Gadget activated his Gadget Cuffs, cuffed the man, pulled him towards himself and told him he was under arrest.
- Gadget Meets the Clan:
- Gadget cuffs Brain, whom he suspects of being a M.A.D. Agent, then takes him for a wild ride around the construction site using his 'Copter. When the Inspector ends up with his extended arms and legs wrapped around a scaffolding, Brain picks the lock and escapes.
Inspector Gadget Saves Christmas[]
- The Gadget cuffs extend from Gadget's arm as usual, but he removes them so he can cuff both of Santa Claus's arms, whom he mistakes for an imposter.
