- Locked up in the royal dungeon of Pianostan, but thinking he was in some kind of waiting room, Gadget ordered his Gadget Light to eject from his hat so he could take a look around, only to find a bunch of decaying corpses in the cell next to him.

- Inspector Gadget has also been known to use other methods to light dark places he finds himself in, such as when he used his Flashlight finger in the Museum of Modern Art after closing time.[2]
