 "Inspector Gadget is always on duty!"

Greenfinger Institute was a scientific institute located just outside Metro City. It was run by Mr. Greenfinger, who perfected a formula to grow giant vegetables to feed the entire world. M.A.D. attempted to take over the facility, kidnapped Greenfinger and replaced him with an imposter. But thanks to the efforts of Inspector Gadget, his niece Penny and their dog Brain, the attempt was foiled. Unfortunately the growth serum also turned out to be a failure for Mr. Greenfinger, as the effects on the fruit and vegetable were not permanent.
