Jungle Bob is a M.A.D. Agent who appears in the 1983 Inspector Gadget episode Photo Safari. He is one of Claw's henchmen.
History[]
Adressed by Claw as Agent 063 of the Jungle Division, Jungle Bob was ordered to get rid of Inspector Gadget after he arrived in the African jungle. Jungle Bob introduced himself to Gadget, his niece Penny and their dog Brain and welcomed him to a seemingly deserted village. Claiming to be a guide, Bob offered his help, which Gadget gladly accepted. Penny however, did not trust Bob and told Brain to follow them. Jungle Bob told Gadget there might be traps along the way, just before Gadget walked into a pit trap. But he had no trouble getting out, using his Gadget Legs and thanked Bob for the warning. Bob then pointed Gadget to a 'good spot for pictures' down a path, and contacted Dr. Claw on a communicator hidden within a tree to tell him Gadget was almost in position. When Gadget paused on the edge of a cliff, Bob pushed a button on the communication device to set off explosives. The edge of the cliff gave way, but the Inspector used several more of his Gadgets to swing back up to where he came from.
Jungle Bob set up a rope trap to snare Gadget by the leg and was certain it could not fail, but Brain appeared, dressed as a native, causing Gadget to believe he was under attack. Hearing this, Bob panicked and walked straight into his own trap, causing him to be catapulted into a tree. Brain reported back to Penny that Bob was an Agent of M.A.D.. Penny spotted Bob entering a large hut in the deserted village, where he sat down at a computer equiped with a radar device. Bob decided to set loose the Black Devil and point it towards Gadget. Penny the deduced that this same creature had been used previously to scare away all the villagers.
Meanwhile, Inspector Gadget assumed that his guide, Jungle Bob, had gotten lost himself and began searching for him. Bob trapped Penny and Brain in a cage that was set up to trap intruders in the village. Bob headed to the large oil drill, and was surprised to find that Gadget had stumbled upon it as well. Gadget mistook the drilling hole in the ground for an underground passage and stuck his head in it. Jungle Bob ceised the opportunity and lowered the drill to grab Gadget's legs and push him in. Keeping tabs on the proceedings, Dr. Claw was very pleased with Bob's work and told him "his cheque was in the mail". But then the oil erupted out of the ground, catapulting Gadget into the air and landing on top of Bob. Immediately after that, Chief Quimby arrived with a local police officer, and the oil covered Agent 063 was taken into custody. Monitoring the events from a safe distance inside his Castle, an angry Dr. Claw exclaimed that Jungle Bob would not receive a cheque from him after all.
