The M.A.D. Pilot is a character in Inspector Gadget.
Personality[]
He is a devious M.A.D. agent who swore his elegance to Dr. Claw in his attempt to do away with Gadget onboard his plane.
History[]
When Inspector Gadget was called to Tibet to investigate strange weather occurances, M.A.D. made sure to switch his planes at the Metro City airport and a M.A.D. pilot took the place of the one that was actually supposed to fly the Inspector there.
Before boarding, the M.A.D. Pilot assured Dr. Claw that Gadget would never make it to Tibet, using a communication device incorporated into his watch.
Inside the plane, he told Gadget to buckle his seatbelt and enjoy his trip. Gadget was surprised to find he was the only passenger aboard the plane, but also felt honored by this.
Up in the air, the pilot used the intercom to tell Gadget there was an urgent phone call from the chief. He directed him to a door marked with a star, which in reality led outside. The door flew off it's hinges and Gadget was sucked out of the plane, leading the M.A.D. Pilot to think he had accomplished his goal and reported to Dr. Claw that Gadget was no longer a problem.
However, Gadget actually managed to survive his fall, bouncing off several other airplans and ending right back in his seat on the M.A.D. plane just as it landed, to the M.A.D. Pilot's surprise. Gadget thanked the pilot for the ride. Of course, Claw witnessed everything on his computer monitor and deemed the M.A.D. Pilot to be incompetent.
