Inspector Gadget Wiki

The M.A.D. Robots were two robots created by Dr. Claw. They only appeared in Art Heist.

Routine[]

They were placed in the Museum of Modern Art in New York, posing as living statues.

Physical Description[]

They resemble grotesquely muscular sculptures with angry, grimacing faces and painted black in color.

Personality[]

The robots have a destructive persona, and have a murderous side when they attempt to kill Inspector Gadget.

History[]

The robots were seen poised on either side of a doorway in the museum, and are controlled by Dr. Claw from his M.A.D. Sub. When the museum closed, Claw activated them to kill Gadget, while he was checking the halls, but were thwarted when he closed the double doors behind him. Before they can break through the doors, Claw ordered the robots to go and open the back door of the museum.

Arriving in the basement, the first robot destroyed the security system, and both robots smashed open the doors with their fists. After the two M.A.D. agents backed their truck into the loading dock, Claw sent the two robots up the elevators to get Gadget.

However, due to Brain's interference, the robots' attempts to kill Gadget were thwarted. When they were about to finish off Gadget, the robots were stopped by Brain, after he lowed a piece of ceiling artwork around them, which caused them to fall over and break upon impact, much to Gadget's confusion and Claw's fury.
