He posed as a store clerk at a countryside general store, along with his two fellow agents, who were disguised as a farmer and a cigar Indian statue.
When Inspector Gadget arrived at the store, the clerk kept him busy while Agent 612 prepare to knock Gadget out with a sleeping dart. However, the attempt was botched by Gadget when he dropped a jar of jawbreakers onto the floor, causing Agent 612 to slip on them, and accidentally shot himself in the leg with the dart, knocking him out. As Gadget tried to pick up the jawbreakers, the clerk tried to hit him with a rolling pin, but both he and Gadget slipped on the jawbreakers, sending them both out through the door, where the Wooden Indian clotheslines the clerk down with his outstretched arm, while Gadget hung from the door of the Gadget Van.
As the clerk lay on the ground beside the Gadget Van, Gadget asked him where can he find this "Doc Painless", and the clerk gave him some directions. Later, the clerk and his fellow agents reported to Dr. Claw, who wasn't pleased with their failed attempt to stop Gadget and ordered them to get back out there and make sure he's miles away from the farm based on the directions he had given for "Doc Painless"'s practice.
