M.A.D. Trapper is a M.A.D. Agent in Inspector Gadget. He operates at the North Pole.
Routine[]
Stationed at the North Pole, M.A.D. Trapper was ordered by Claw to eliminate Inspector Gadget, and was glad to accept this task, replying "Consider it done". He had already taken the equipment from an innocent trapper, whom he left tied up in the snow. When informed that Gadget was coming his way, the Trapper laid a trap involving a large snowball on a rope and marked the ice with a red X using a spray can. Inspector Gadget, looking for the secret laboratory of Dr. Focus, got out of his Gadgetmobile when he mistook the X on the ice for his destination as marked on a map given to him by Chief Octock. However, he soon realized it was the wrong X and left. The Trapper inspected the snowball to see why it hadn't rolled down to crush Gadget, and found a small reindeer holding it back. When he picked up the reindeer, the snowball began to move and rolled over the Trapper as well as the reindeer, engulfing them both in it's mass and both ended up in the spot the trapper had marked previously. Both were unarmed, and when the reindeer made run for it, the Trapper went after it.
A short while later, Gadget had become snowblind. Claw contacted the Trapper again and told him to eliminate him. The Trapper replied it would be simple since Gadget was now in avalanche territory. Blowing on a large horn to emulate a moose call, the Trapper was sure things would start rolling soon. But Gadget mistook him for a thirsty moose and shot his water pistol finger straight at the Trapper's face, causing a block of ice fo form around his entire head. Having indeed caused an avalanche, the Trapper walked off a cliff and slid down an ice slide. On his way down he was joined by the dog sized reindeer, who ended up sitting on the Trapper's stomach. They ended up inside a cave inhabitted by a polar bear. The reindeer ran off, but the Trapper was carried out by the angry bear. When the polar bear growled loudly in the Trapper's face he blew away what remained of the block of ice and caused another downpooring of snow. They were burried for a moment, but the Trapper managed to escape from the bear.
The Trapper took control of a dog sled being pulled by three huskies, one of whom was Brain in disguise. The Trapper ordered his dogs to run down Gadget, who was still suffering from snow blindness and mistook the sled for a bus. But Brain shed his disguise and distracted the other two dogs with a steak, leading them away from Gadget and off a cliff. Unfortunately, Brain himself was still attached to the sled's harnass, and got pulled off the cliff as well. Ending up in the snow below with the two dogs and the Trapper, one of the dogs was happily munching on the steak while the Trapper told Brain he was fired.
Dr. Claw, using his M.A.D. Mobile in submarine mode, tried to destroy the Gadgetmobile himself by firing a missile at it. He was angered when the explosion only caused another hole in the ice while Gadget's vehicle remained unharmed. Claw ordered the M.A.D. trapper to push Gadget into the hole in the ice using a snowplow. Once again Brain tried to intervene, but he was not strong enough to stop the plow. Gadget, however, assumed the sound of the plow was a tow truck coming to aid him and extended the Gadgetmobile's wheels on stilts. He thereby evaded the plow and caused it to drive right into the icy water. Both Brian and the Trapper popped up from the water completely encased in blocks of ice. Claw then fired another missile, which caused the two blocks to catapult into the air. While Brain ended up on the roof of Focus' secret lab, shattering the ice and freeing him, the Trapper was not so lucky: his block of ice landed in the snow and he remained frozen solid, with only his teeth chattering because of the intense cold.
Personality[]
The M.A.D. Trapper is a devious and clever expert at setting traps. He speaks in a French accent.
Physical Description[]
The M.A.D. Trapper is a tall and stocky man with white eyebrows and moustache. He wears a yellow beanie, a red skiing jacket, blue trousers and brown boots. He is missing one of his upper front teeth.
