The Metro City Convention center is a location in Metro City featured in the second season of Inspector Gadget.
Gadget and his new assistant Corporal Capeman were told to investigate the Eccentric Inventors Convention at this convention. Penny and Brain also attended, and the latter used one of the Robot Dogs on display as a disguise. Doomkauf had set up his own stall, featuring various inventions. Capeman grabbed a freeze gun and shot it at a boy's balloon, freezing it. When Doomkauf asked Inspector Gadget to test his new battery charger, both the Inspector and Corporal Capeman were blinded by flashing lights for a moment. At the same time, Doomkauf fired his reducing ray at Gadget, thereby giving him the first of four schrinking doses. Capeman inadvertently fired the freeze ray again, and froze the Professor before he could give Gadget the next three doses. When they left, Gadget stated the convention was "as safe as the Gadget Van".[1]
When Inspector Gadget was being honored by his peers at the convention center, the Police Commissioner introduced various clips of Gadget surviving attempts on his life by M.A.D. Agents without him even noticing he was in danger. But during the presentation, Agents Dick and Fred robbed the Convention and got away in a van with various items, clothes and food. But when Gadget caught up with them using his Gadget Legs, they gave up and returned the loot to the cops.[2]
