The Oriental Express is a luxurious train that was featured in the second season of Inspector Gadget. The train offered a Mystery Tour that started at the Metro City Railway Station.
Gadget was scheduled to attend the Oriental Express Mystery Tour as a speaker. He decided to take the Grappler, whom he had only recently met and thought had been sent to him to help clean his house, with him. Gadget was unaware that Dr. Claw had taken over the Oriental Express. He had replaced its crew with machines and was controlling it be remote. Grappler's creator, Doomkauf was the only living person on board (disguised as a woman). All the other train passengers had been replaced by dummies.
