The Red Rose was a weapon that belonged to Spuds Malone during his younger years. It's famous for shooting pungent potato sludge.

It resembles a Tommy-Gun on a tripod. It's silver and black in color with a red rose imprinted on its sides.
History[]
During the Great Depression, Spuds used the Red Rose on a mob of gangsters on St. Patrick's Day.
Years later, after he retired, Spuds became the chef of the Bad Guys and Gals Retirement Home and converted Red Rose into a potato peeler. After learning about Spuds' history, Dr. Claw ordered his old mentor, Less Renowned to bring Spuds out of retirement to use Red Rose to do away with Inspector Gadget. However, Spuds doesn't remember where he left Red Rose, not knowing that it was in his kitchen all along.
After a fruitless search around Metro City and many failed attempts to do away with Gadget and Corporal Capeman with his cronies, Tater and Knuckles, Spuds eventually remembered where he left Red Rose, after Tater hit his head with his crowbar when removing a flower pot. Heading back to the retirement home, Spuds found Red Rose in his kitchen, and refurbished it back into its original colors, not knowing Penny had programmed it with her computer book. After shooting a blob of potato sludge at Gadget and Capeman, Spuds attempted another go, but briefly held his fire when Brain, disguised as an old lady, wheeled by on a cart full of red roses.
After Capeman destroyed the flower cart with the Gadzooka, Spuds took aim at Gadget and Capeman. Meanwhile, Penny override the Red Rose's control. As Spuds was about to shoot another round, the Red Rose jams up and explodes, sending a mass of potato sludge onto the M.A.D. Jet, much to Claw and M.A.D. Cat's disgust and Spuds' despair as he moans for the loss of his beloved weapon.
