Tabu found himself being chased by a stall owner in a Tibetan marketplace. He bumped into Penny, and politely asked her if she was okay, then climbed into a straw basket and instructed her to cover it. The angry stall owner asked Penny if she could tell him where the boy went, but she only shook her head at him. The man left and Tabu thanked Penny, introduced himself and told her he owed her a favor. She immediately cashed in the favor by asking him to get her up Mount Makalu. Tabu agreed, although he warned her that it would be a dangerous trip.
Tabu took Penny to the dreaded Temple of the Rahamaja (Temple of the Yeti), the only way to get to Mount Makalu. He knew a way to pass through the temple without forfeiting their lives. He told Penny to climb on his shoulders and wear a long red robe, so they could fool the guards into thinking they were a single, grown up woman instead of a pair of underage children. Their disguise worked, not in the least because Penny's uncle Gadget arrived on his Rocket Skates and upset the guards and the high priest by using a faulty password he had been given by Agent Chameleon.
Having passed through the temple, Tabu instructed Penny to start climbing a mountain, for this was the shortest way to their destination. Penny noticed radio-activity above as indicated by her watch and was certain that it came from a weather machine. Near the entrance, Penny was surprised to see a cart approaching carrying a palm tree. Tabu encouraged her to hide beneath a tarp covering the bottom part of the palm tree. Once inside the compound, they marvelled at all the plantlive in the courtyard. Penny realized it must have been created by the reverse effect from the weather machine. Unfortunately, a large guard noticed them and took them captive.
Tabu and Penny were put in a dungeon jail cell. There, Penny used the magnetic powers in her Penny's Watch|watch to pull the keys, which were hanging on the wall opposite them, to her hand. Tabu was very impressed and through her watch was fantastic. But Penny wasted no time and unlocked the door to the cell. Soon they were overlooking a safe filled with ice and crystals of all sizes, harvested from Mount Makalu. Professor Mongul picked out a particularly large specimin with the intention to use it to create a snow storm in Las Vegas, using his weather machine. Tabu and Penny climbed out of a ventilation duct and into the machine's control room. Penny planned to sneak into the safe, grab a piece of ice and switch it with the crystal. Tabu told her to go for it while he distracted the Professor and his assistant. Tabu revealed himself to a surprised Mongul. He then told them to catch him if they could and the two men ran after him, leaving Penny to grab a piece of ice from the safe and switch it with the crystal in the machine.
When the machine began to malfunction, Dr. Claw ordered Mongul to stop chasing Tabu and return to the weather machine. Tabu and Penny were reunited, and Penny told him she was going to call Chief Quimby. Together with Brain, they ran out of the building while the weather machine exploded. Tabu noticed that without the machine, the weather in Tibet had returned to normal, and snow was falling from the sky once more.
