"Inspector Gadget is always on duty!"
Yetzanistan was an incredibly wealth country located in the middle east. According to Prince Acar, the only thing the country lacked was rain.
The country of Yetzanistan was surrounded by desert country. However, the country itself was fabuously wealthy. Even the beggars could afford gold teeth as passersby would graciously throw stacks of pater money at them as if it were loose change. Similar stacks of money would often be discarded and litter the street, having to be periodically swept up by streetcleaners.
One fountain in the middle of town appeared to be made out of solid gold and featured shapes that resembled the American dollar sign.
The country had a number of rules concerning the coronation of their ruler. Whomever held the Sacred Scimitar of Avikenesh at the appointed time, would become king. This meant that, although Prince Acar was next in line to be King, anyone who got their hands on the scimitar at the right time could claim the throne in his stead. Therefore, the Sacred Scimitar was kept in a vault protected by a large stainless steel door.
Dr. Claw hired Fast Abdul, the sneakiest thief in Yetzanistan, to steal the scimitar with the help of his trained monkey. Knowing Inspector Gadget would be on the case, Abdul was given command of two other M.A.D. Agents, Dick and Lenny to get rid of Gadget. Abdul made an unnanounced visit to Prince Acar before his coronation and presented him with the gift of a "Rainbox", which featured a miniature of the desert being doused by rainfall. Impressed, the Prince allowed Abdul to place the gift in the royal vault under his own supervision. He was unaware that inside the cart which bore the Rainbox, Abdul's monkey was hiding. The monkey swiftly stole the scimitar and Abdul somehow managed to retrieve the entire cart from the vault without anyone noticing.
Gadget's niece, Penny informed the Prince that the sacred item had been stolen and together with her dog, Brain, they tried to get it back from Abdul and his monkey. Inspector Gadget meanwhile was wandering around Yetzanistan, mistakingingly believing the entire city was one large mirage he was experiencing. Prince Acar was forced to begin his coronation ceremony, knowing full well that the scimitar was missing. Fast Abdul revealed himself and tried to claim the crown, but Penny interviened. The scimitar changed hands several time, but eventually landed in the hands of Prince Acar, who was unaminously proclaimed King by his people. The M.A.D. Agents were all arrested by the local police and Inspector Gadget was rewarded for his efforts. Prince Acar made certain to hide the fact that Penny and Brain were also there from the Inspector.
